By combining Matthew Mark's love for dubstep, Hip Hop, dark aggressive horror elements and his religious background, ‘The Advasary’ was born. By using 'The Advasary' Matthew wants to tell a gnarly story around a cult of his own imagination and show the world that it’s ok to express yourself in these alternative ways.

Matthew Marks Aka ‘The Advasary’ is a dubstep producer who focuses on portraying a dark and heavy sound with his unique sound design.

He was born in a religious household on St. Marten and grew up in the Netherlands, where he developed a liking for dark and grim themes. As these themes were seen as blasphemous in his household, he still rebelliously continued consuming a good amount of “blasphemous” content. Dubstep was one of the things that were considered “evil”, though due to there being such a backlash against it, he became more and more interested in the genre, until he absolutely fell in love with it.

Old school hiphop also had a huge influence in the development of his music taste, as he has a background in breakdancing and would tune into Biggie Smalls, Onyx and many more rap legends. These aspects have inspired Matthew to, as he puts it, put an enfaces on how his music grooves.
