Totini Susu emerged within the boundaries of psychedelic jazz, fusion, and rock.

It is music that twists and moves, where unpredictable time signatures, deep grooves, and distorted layers of sound meet. The foundation lies in jazz, improvisation, freedom, and interaction, but is broken open by the energy of rock and the spaciousness of the psychedelic. Rhythms slide just off the beat, bass lines are warm and pulsating, and guitars and keyboards float through echoes and effects.

The music can feel like a jam session getting out of hand, but always with a strong underlying cohesion. There is room for experimentation, for repetition that hypnotizes, and for sudden bursts that shake the listener awake.

Above all this, the voice moves, not only as a carrier of lyrics, but as a sound, as an improvising instrument. Like Hiatus Kaiyote, Totini Susu moves freely between genres. The groove is loose and organic, never tight but always alive. Music that breathes and moves with the body. The band sometimes feels like BADBADNOTGOOD. Musically sharp, rhythmically strong, with room for silence and tension. Every sound seems deliberately chosen. It sounds as if it could just as easily originate live in a single room.

And then there is the honesty. The raw edges, the emotional individuality reminiscent of Fiona Apple.
