Sturgeon Band Bio (English Version)

Sturgeon is a 4-piece blues/hard rock band from Kampen that aims to put on a great show as much as possible, as loudly as possible and as often as possible for all fans who come to see our performances.

Formed in 2021 by a group of friends in Kampen through a shared passion for making music, we started as a cover band that mainly played the music of Led Zeppelin. We called the band Sturgeon because we come from Kampen and at the time had the brilliant plan to secretly take and move a large plastic sturgeon lying next to the bridge in the IJssel.

Since then we have grown as a band and have changed course last year after putting together a new line-up and under the guidance of Wildman Sound Studio. Our ambition now lies in writing our own songs and delivering a show that fully fits in with the style of the 70s, with of course our own twist.

Influences from Zeppelin, Sabbath, The Who, but also the Beatles and Thin Lizzy are in the EP we are working on so far.

We are going to release our 1th EP this year (2025), perform a lot and get off to a good start in the scene and, above all, enjoy the music we make.
