Italian vocalist, guitarist, producer, and mathematician Marshall Schneider is the mind behind SOUND2次元, an electronic project where vaporwave, cyberpunk ambient and techno merge into deeply emotional and cinematic soundscapes.

Marshall starts playing guitar at the age of 15, and from 2004 to 2010 grows as a vocalist and guitarist in alternative rock bands formed in his hometown. After years performing in Italy’s underground scene and social collectives, in 2021 Marshall moves to the Netherlands and develops major interest in electronic music, under the guidance of mentors such as Camiel Daamen and Giona Vinti. From 2023 Marshall starts producing, under the pseudonym SOUND2次元, vaporwave/synthwave compositions that fuse introspection with activism.

In 2024 he appears on several underground compilations in the vapor communities and becomes an active member of the Slushwave Social Club. In particular, on March 2024, Marshall participates to the Sanctuary Live by Nostalgia Lounge, a streaming show supporting the TransOhio Relief Fund for transgender care in Ohio. ​In the following period, he self-releases on Bandcamp several albums compiling music created for other online events, such as the Slushwave Festival 2024, Slushwave Mallscape 2024 and Vaporloot Festival 2025.

In August 2025, he releases Dreampunk Story under the French label Underwater Computing_ - an electronic ambient EP exploring the theme of femicide within a cyberpunk imagery. Later that same month, he performs live at the Slushwave/Naturwave Festival 2025 in Kortrijk (BE).

Marshall is currently working on new releases and exploring hardware devices for expanding his sonic range and live setup.
