Neva Roman is the solo music project of Toros Senan (Nijmegen / NL), who is trained musically in the Center of Advanced Studies in Music (MA, Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul / TR), technically in Sound and Music Computing (MSc, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona / CAT) and in acoustics/psychoacoustics (Ph. D., Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven / NL). Beginning as an active guitar player in the thriving Istanbul music scene in his early student times, he moved on with the music production side by working as a sound engineer in well-known studios and venues of Istanbul, including Kemanci, Ghetto, and Istanbul Jazz Center. While moving abroad for further sound-based academic training reducing his musical activities, he has been releasing music for the musical project Danslı Parti (Shalgam Records, Istanbul/TR), together with sought-after producer Emre Malikler, featuring high-profile names in the Turkish music scene, such as Melike Sahin, Can Gungor, Berkay Kucukbaslar. Neva Roman is his come-back project that aims at telling audio/visual stories by curating scalable, collaborative, project-based live acts.
