In the musical landscape of 2024, a striking new force emerged from the east of the Netherlands, known as ILÆNDER. This innovative alternative metal band was born out of a shared passion for music and a desire to blend the sonic sounds of Deftones with the heavy, low-tuned riffs reminiscent of the Nu-Metal era. Founded in 2023, ILÆNDER quickly carved its own niche in the world of alternative metal with their unique sound and unbridled creativity.

ILÆNDER was brought to life by five talented musicians, each with their own distinctive background and influences. The founding members include: Martin Duve (Ten Times A Million), Frank te Riet (Cryptosis), Karel Lenferink, Michiel Toenink and Oscar Persijn (All three of them in No Gods, No Masters).

ILÆNDER is a dynamic Dutch alternative metal band that effortlessly blends powerful riffs with melodic intricacies to create a unique sonic experience. Their music takes listeners on a journey through intense emotions and musical nostalgia.

On the 19th of October ILÆNDER released their first EP 'ALPHA'. After a well-received release show and a first round of shows in Germany and the Netherlands under their belt, the band is ready to enter a promising 2025.

The recordings of a 2nd EP is now in the final phase and first singles will be released in the beginning of the new year!
