Fee Aaij (19) is a dutch jazzpianist and composer with an intense desire for renewal.

Transferring love for art through art is what she stands for. In her projects, ‘I am The Joker’ and ‘The Starpeople’, the emphasis lies on conceptualism and the use of different art forms. With her meaningful melodies and expressive improvisations Fee shares the story of individuality.

Fee’s genres are fluid: from jazz and classical to punk. Artists like; David Bowie, Thelonious Monk, McCoy Tyner, Bobby Timmons, Oscar Peterson, Radiohead, W.A. Mozart, Brad Mehldau, Igor Stravinsky and J.S. Bach are sacred to her.

Music was introduced into Fee’s life by the church organ. Nevertheless, in her teenage years the tables turned first towards rock and then towards jazz music. Taught by her dear teacher and mentor Hans Kwakkernaat, Fee started her studies jazz piano at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Arnhem with 15 years old. Schooled by great musicians such as Jeroen van Vliet, Robert-Jan Vermeulen, Michiel Braam, Angelo Verploegen, Dion Nijland and André Groen, she plans on getting her Bachelor of Music in 2025. Thereafter Fee aims to get a degree in art history. *

*Besides music Fee is very passionate about art history.
