Starting from the year 2000, I work with Propellerhead’s ReBirth, the moment became freeware. A simple music program, based on 4 x 303 synths, 2 x 808/909 drum machines. These machines marked the beginning of the house music and pretty much the basic for all underground dance music. So I train myself in using ReBirth for quite some time. I support also a ReBirth site and ReBirth FB Group. (see my ReBirth site)

I thought if I taught Rebirth how to work, the hardware would work out too. Now I know that the hardware is very different, but it is still a good basis to make 303 tunes. If you then apply what you have learned from the hardware to some 303 software, gives an extra dimension to work with ReBirth. The program can generate separate drum or synth sequences to wav, with or without effects and mixdown in Reason or Cubase and convert into midi file with ReMaker. (See Link Below) I add some voice samples and I did not used the original ReBirth sound, only hardware : 4 analogue 303 clones and 2 analogue 909 drum machines and more. (see my studio update site)

As a starter I released 2 CDs, the first consists of older material made on ReBirth, actually as a kind of exercise. So my first CD Rebirthing, is of course made with ReBirth and mixed-out in Reason, with the RB input module. Well it does not work as I expected, it clearly has difficulty mixing. My second CD : StudioTunes is composed with Rebirth and used ReMaker to convert to midi-file and worked it out in Cubase. It consists older and new ReBirth tracks. With my third CD AcidLab, the focus is more on working with the analogue and digital hardware, but I still use ReBirth as composer & sequencer. I am trying to complete the entire process from sequence to a professional track.

My goal is to perform at parties once I have collected enough material. I have some experience with performances, even at outdoor locations. By the time my third CD is ready I will have a set to perform with. I have also made the necessary Full HD films, with my own made video art and fractals, that will support my music. The idea is a kind of total experience with decor, light, video and sound. Experimenting to a well-balanced concept.
