Alvader is a Dutch pagan metal band forging music in praise of their gods, ancestors, and natural surroundings. Inspired by the heathen past and beauty of their native Gelderland, the Netherlands, they create proud and pounding metal sung in their native tongue.

Alvader features (ex-)members of Heidevolk, :NODFYR:, and Thronar. It was originally a solo project founded by vocalist Joris in 2020 until it became a full band in 2023 with the addition of Ernstjan (bass, additional vocals), Kevin (guitar), Reamon (guitar), and Nico (drums).

Since then, Alvader started unleashing its fury on stages in the Netherlands and Germany and has self-released an album (Hereniging, 2024). The second album, called Woede, is currently in the making.
